Small Business Bill Stalls

The small business stimulus bill stalled in the senate yesterday. While not a big surprise, it never ceases to amazes me how political posturing wins every time.

Responsible Kids or Creepy Voyeurs?

The NYT had an article today about technology that lets children monitor their elderly parents. The products range from a pill box that informs the child by cell phone when the parent hasn’t taken their medicine, to a full out James Bond-like  surveillance system.

People who buy these things probably mean well, but it’s just kinda weird. Whatever happened to good old “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!” ?
